Try to put your best foot forward
And see smiles on the countenance of your potters
 

The day when boards commence
 

 Today is the day when I’ve to step in the ”haunted house” 

My confidence; I surely needed to rouse
 

In no time were we given the sheets and question papers 

The entries to be filled in block letters

But how could I begin without a mistake

Wrote in running letters and took myself at stake

But the invigilators I’d thought as deadly ghosts

Were more than friendly hosts 

Was given a new sheet for a brand new beginning
While I took up d comprehension for skimming, scanning and intensive reading

The paper got over and as it was grammar

The anvil was it while I, the hammer

Happy were are faces … euphoric our statements

“Paper was good” were our comments

But in no time was the happiness vanished

The ghosts triumphed while we were vanquished
 

Crestfallen were we, Amidst a treacherous sea

To see in the papers all that we didn’t study

The hindi papers brought finally the END

With no time left, for us to mend

“Liberty, enfranchisement n emancipation” we’d say
For 31st march was our INDEPENDENCE DAY
